About the Role

The ICT School Support Officer Role contributes to the overall mission of CEM by supporting and maintaining the ICT needs of Medowie Christian School - a leading independent school serving the Port Stephens community. The role will be based on-campus at Medowie Christian School, providing onsite support to the students and staff, reporting directly to the Group ICT Manager.
This full-time role will commence as soon as possible.
A typical week in this role would include:
- Providing general support to end-users and solving their computing problems in a timely manner or effectively triaging their issues
- Supporting software and applications, telecommunications and data services for the school.
- Assisting in maintaining CEM’s ICT infrastructure, equipment and facilities.
- Management of user accounts within the various online learning platforms.
- Providing ICT support to the Group ICT Manager across the CEM Group.
- You’ll be comfortable with our key end-user systems:
- Google Suite
- Apple Mac and iOS
- Microsoft
- Canvas
- Jamf
- And our key back-end systems:
- Microsoft Windows Server
- Linux Server
- Aruba LAN/WAN/Wireless Networking and Telecommunications
- You’re solutions-focused and have an ability to complete multiple tasks on tight deadlines.
- You’ll have excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills.
- You’ll have the ability to work independently and also within a team to produce excellent outcomes.

About the Role
The ICT Support Officer role contributes to the mission of CEM by engaging distance education students with onboarding and tech support. The role is based at the CEM Erina office, and will be reporting directly to the ICT Manager.
This full-time role is expected to start as soon as possible.

About the role
Applications are sought from suitably qualified and experienced educational leaders for the position of Principal.
The Principal is responsible for maintaining and developing the positive culture and community of the school, ensuring students have access to high quality teaching and learning. The role is supported by the Corporate Office with finance, HR, marketing, IT and building projects being provided by CEM. The Principal's role will be to grow and lead the School producing a strong Christian teaching culture of high quality. The Principal will be expected to generate the momentum required to move the School forward.
The position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for identity, rights to work in Australia, and child protection in accordance with CEM policy.

About the Role
The Software Engineer is responsible for leading the development of innovative software solutions across CEM, as well as testing and evaluating the effectiveness of existing software integrations, and systems.
This role is responsible for liaising with stakeholders to influence the strategy and delivery of future CEM product features and systems.
Key Accountabilities
- Enhance existing platform and Software capabilities to manage growth, enabling new insights and products through self-serve options, reporting solutions, and interactive querying.
- Create scalable software platforms and applications, that undergo unit testing, code reviews, and regular checks for continuous integration.
- Examine existing systems for flaws and develop solutions that improve service uptime and time-to-resolve through monitoring and automated remediation.
- Design and build tools and frameworks to automate the development, testing, deployment, and management of services and products.
- Track, document, and maintain software and system functionality, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance engineering practices.
- Focus on creating software and integration platforms free of faulty programming, ensuring developers maintain progress without compromising site reliability.
- Work with product leads and relevant stakeholders to influence the strategy and delivery of next-generation product features and systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support CEM's goals and objectives.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in information technology, computer science, project management or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in Software Engineering.
- Devout commitment to live and work in accordance with the Christian Faith and its values.
- Hold and maintain a valid Working with Children Check.

Join our innovative Teacher Traineeship Model offering a unique opportunity to earn as you learn in a school setting. Break away from traditional routes of studying teaching for 3-4 years before entering the classroom; instead, dive into practical teaching experience from day one, gradually increasing your in-school involvement throughout the program.
About the Role
As a Trainee Teacher, you will benefit from comprehensive support throughout your learning journey:
- CEM Teaching School Manager: Facilitating a supportive and excellent Christian Teacher Formation program in collaboration with a host school and tertiary partner Christian Heritage College.

- School-based Teaching School Coordinator: facilitating the Christian Teacher Formation Program at the school level

- Participate in interviews with CEM Executive (held between September and mid-November annually).
- Confirm ATAR or equivalent entry requirements for undergraduate degree.
- Await notification of scholarship acceptance.
Candidates progressing through the selection process will be granted a conditional teacher traineeship, subject to meeting tertiary entrance requirements. Following this, you'll have the chance to visit your potential placement school and meet the Principal before commencing online lectures in late January/early February each year.
